i cannot see the purse pic because it is using an application this computer doesn't have - and i'm at work, so i don't want to add plugins to the computer.

if you want to make it so that you can see the pic, when you add a pic (i'm guessing you are doing it in blogthis).. it asks you if you want it "inline" or if you want a link to it... it does that on the screen after where you upload the pic. make sure that you click on inline.

another thing to check is that you shouldn't see any "" tags after or before the picture when you are looking at the blogthis window...

but i wanted to show you what i typed. "img src="http://girls.rups.net/purse.bmp" /" but instead of the outside quotation marks, i used the brackets < >. i don't know what they're called. . .but they probably won't come up. . .it's the brackets that look like sideways v's.

hmm - looks like it's because when you try to upload a .gif file, it recognizes that it's an image and so it asks if you want to include it inline. when i tried uploading the pic of the purse, the option didn't come up.

you must be exhausted! at what time do you think you'll be able to get out of work? i'll be home around 8:30, and i'm making dinner for me and jackie. let me know if you'll be home for dinner and i'll make more for you, too. jackie and i started the south beach diet yesterday, so no carbs for 2 weeks. just lean meats, eggs, and some veggies. i'm making ground turkey for dinner - maybe with salad or something, i don't know yet.

i was the only one blogging last week and it was no fun, so i decided to stop! although now anusha's back, so maybe i'll go back to blogging ;)

nush - don't be sick! jackie was really sick all of last week and so was my office mate, so i've been trying really hard to stay healthy! i'm glad you had a good time, though. and what's the purse like???

megan - rock climbing sounds like fun. i'm definitely up for trying it - i love doing outdoors-y things.

gabe, natalia, and his sis were here this past weekend. we went to free wine sat night and had an awesome time! we got wasted and made friends. . .all in all, a very enjoyable dinner. nush - his sis slept in your bed. . .i hope you don't mind! they were great guests - they bought us a bottle of tequila and a bottle of godiva liquor for our hospitality! i'll probably stay at gabe's the next time i go to boston (rooz's bday, maybe?).

MODELS: rupa - i sort of liked her! but then again in the one episode i watched she didnt talk - and its easier to like the girl who doesnt talk than the high maintenance white girl who is crying cause the black girl she is "friends" with didnt want to stay in the same room as her....

VOTING: i like kerry in the debates, but i dont think he knows what he is talking about - he just does a good job of talking...ive been meaning to go to his website to learn more about his campaign and to figure out where the hell he proposes to get all this money from. and megan - to the war comment - i think kerry would have done the same. he voted to do it - how ridiculous to respond to being questioned about that with well i voted for it but i didnt actually do it - he is a senator - thats what is vote is for!

DE Shaw - megan, when they arent blogging it usually isnt that they are working, its that they are out to some expensive lunch for like 3 hours pretending to make a temp feel special...

days off and other such craziness

i DID have the day off yesterday! but not because of the holiday . . . because i worked 9 to 5 on sunday . . .
the excitement of my weekend - i joined a rock climbing club and went rock climbing for the first time yesterday!!! IT WAS SO MUCH FUN! the girl who signed us up made a mistake and gave us a free introductory course/bilay certification (it's supposed to be $30) the owner taught us, he started out seeming like a real prick but turned out to be really nice - just initially annoyed to see that one of his employees comped $60 because they were stupid. then me and edgar took turns climbing - i climbed all the way to the top on 3 different trails! i'm not that sore today, so i'm going to do more when we go on wednesday. SO much fun!!! like, want you guys to come visit again so we can go there and rock climb!!!! and they have a high ropes course too!

nush - i'm glad you had fun in hawaii! i'm sorry you're sick now :( did you do anything extra fun? snorkling? parasailing? take lots of pictures?

one last question/comment - i was playing with my amazing ipod this weekend ('cause i HAD a weekend! both saturday and monday off!) and it was awesome of julie to load stuff on it . . . but apparently she's a little behind. anusha has no address and julie still lives on wall street. how am i supposed to mail either of you cute things if i don't know where you live?!

Highlights: Sunset, drives, ocean, LV...

Hey girls, Im back :( and completely exhausted, and sick....

but the trip was amazing. the first two days were just dev and me, i have never dreamed of a more romantic sunset watching experience. it was absolutely beautiful and on a basically deserted beach - just me and him and one other family on the other end of the beach...

after that his whole group - like 600 microsoft people got there, but that was fun too - it was nice to finally meet all the people he talks to me about on a daily basis. i got to meet two of his best friends there.

and the highlight - he bought me a louis vitton purse!! im not exactly sure what came over him, but we had walked in the store, and we had a room credit from the program that was supposed to cover eating, drinking, beach expenses. but we didnt use it all and you can charge Mr. Vitton merchandise to the room, so he was like pick whichever one you want...it is really nice :) i used it at the closing party sunday night :)

im excited to read through all the old blogs...thatll get me through the day...im going to leave early and go sleep...im soooo tired.

where is everyone? its 1030....and were jules and megan off yesterday for columbus day?
