yay for the red sox. that was SUCh an unbelievable game :) i talked to my sister last night who was out near fenway and taking part in all the craziness. i kinda want to be in boston to watch some of it.. i might go up for a game or two.. or at least go if there is a game 7 :)
i hope the cardinals win tonight. even though my heart is with the red sox.. :) i think the cardinals are such a good solid non-pretentious team.. they should at least get the pennant tonight!
i was listening to the radio this morning.. first i heard all the anti-redsox talk and then.. i heard about this new dessert at serendipity, which i think is a lil crazy. megan- serendipity, which you may have gone to during one of your trips, is this dessert place here that is famous for large really decadent gooey dessert. apparently they have a new sundae that is $1000.
yup. not a typo. one THOUSAND dollars (pinky at the side of my mouth and everything). apparently it's 5 scoops of ice cream.. all the regular goodies.. plus.. 24kt gold leaf covered edible chocolate... chocolate sauce from some special cocoa bean that only grows on 5 trees in the world... and fruit-flavored caviar (apparently they inject the fish eggs with passionfruit and orange liquer). oh.. and they let you take home the bowl that it's in.
isn't that ridiculo? it's good to see the economy is picking up and we're in this weird decadent era. $1000 for ice cream! that's a month's rent! or 10 pairs of expensive jeans.. or a laptop! craziness.
