nine queens

i've heard of it. a movie that is out right now with the ugly guy that always plays the dumb sidekick and . .. i think . . . one of the guys from y tu mama tambien? no. some hispanic dude that was in a movie i saw. crap, what's the name of it?!?! anyway, that movie is based on nine queens - the reviewer of the american remake said it's fine, but if you've already seen nine queens don't bother. and if you don't mind subtitles, just see nine queens.

my take on subtitles - i watched city of gods, bella epoque (spelling?), and various other subtitled movies and barely even noticed. i TRIED to watch passions of christ and could NOT get into it - partially because of the subtitles. i think the moral of the story is it needs to interest me in order for me to read the subtitles. and didn't we watch a subtitled movie tha sashank recommended that we had to read to nush? and we started doing it in voices?
