apartments

i found the best apartment last night! its about $100 more a month than i want to spend, but i think i'm still going to get it :) i have two more people to call and if i don't like there places - i think i'm going to take this one!

1. off street parking
2. dishwasher
3. allows pets
4. private entrance w/doorbell/intercom so i don't have to walk downstairs to see who it is

its the attic of an old house, so it has weird sloping walls, but space wise its really big. the kitchen looks great to cook in, it has a little tv alcove like the one on will & grace, the bedroom looks plenty big enough and the landlords live nextdoor and seem really friendly and very we're all one big happy family. it was their niece that showed me the place and i said something about not being a loud person and she was like, well there is an 18 year old that will be living below you (the other two floors of the building are two of her other aunts so i think the 18 year old is her cousin) and he would probably like it if you threw some parties.

so, yeah. i'm overly excited. edgar was so happy to see me because he was like you haven't been this excited and happy in a while AND the move in date is july 1st!

and i crunched the numbers with edgar last night, trying to figure out how i could afford it . . . i figured out my whole monthly bugdet and i would still have $500 surplus behind heat/gas/tv/internet/gas for car/food/rent . . . so i'd still be adding to may savings and would occasionally get to do things like visit nyc and go to the theater and the symphony (goals of mine this year as those are options available in rochester)

if you guys are super bored . . . there are pictures online.
