the carpet

well, that's what edgar wants to do . . . he has extra under the carpet padding from when he redid the carpet in his house, so he wants to take out the piece of carpet and thoroughly clean it, replace the padding underneath and then put it all down again. i'm going to get the stuff from courtney and if that doesn't work, then i'll be calling the landlords for permission and if they say no, then i'll ask them how they propose i get the smell out . . .

lab meeting was painful. the first 45 minutes were an indepth discussion and data storage: external harddrive attached to common computer vs those harddrives linked through a server downstairs. then, katy presented her horribly designed graphs (line graphs?? single wells?? no background subtraction????) which was the same unorganized info for each of 45 subjects (one subject per slide) i left at 10:35 (lab meeting is scheduled until 10:30) because i 1. couldn't stand any more and 2. had stuff that is timed that i needed to start. well, at least its her last one - tomorrow is her last day :)
