jules - i'm glad things are not weird with joe. are you ok with him turning into a party animal without you?
rupa - how did your weekend go? did plans work out with hanging out with your sister?
me weekend was busy and great :) i didn't get any sleep thursday night because i was up until 3am moving/thinking about moving and woke up at 8 to move on friday morning. my dad came and two guys from the restaurant who edgar knows. it took about two hours, maybe a little less. they only had to make two trips so i was really proud of myself (usually my dad almost disowns me on moving day as i'm entirely unorganized and waste his time) we got pizza and wings to thank our movers - the two guys were GREAT, they made it really easy. then, i went with my dad to my grandparent's lake house because my grandpa had an extra riding lawnmower that he wanted my dad to get rid of. we met up with my brother and missy and the four of us went out to dinner. i didn't get back to rochester until 10pm and i was TIRED. edgar was already asleep, so i spent my first night in my bed alone . . . then overslept saturday morning, drove to auburn and my dad bought me a bike (he was buying one for himself and i said i wanted to look at bikes and it ended with him saying "your brother takes advantage of me, the least you can do is allow me to buy you this") then, i went to my cousin's high school grad party then back to rochester. i unpacked for a little and spent the evening hanging out with friends who moved in less than a block away on their roof deck drinking wine. sunday, hung out with edgar until he had to go to work - unpacking, went out for breakfast etc. in the evening, i went with the same friends from saturday night to one of their friends camp on a lake to watch fireworks. it was really cool - its just all the people who own camps go out and get fireworks and set off their own mini shows then at 10:30, everyone sets off road flares around the lake so you see a "ring of fire" (that's what they call it) it was really cool. monday, i went to another friend's house for a bbq - which was a little boring, but nice. i played horseshoes for the first time (not my favorite sport turns out) but edgar and i won :) then, we rented a bunch of movies, hung out at my apartment until it was dark out and went for a walk into downtown and watched the fireworks there. it was pretty anticlimatical because 1. there were too many people 2. i almost got hit by a rogue firework that someone set off in the crowd of people 3. it was really humid still. this morning, i woke up late because edgar set the alarm clock incorrectly - switching am and pm around. then, i forgot to grab breakfast and my id . . . but, i got into the lab without a problem and i got a call from a vet that i had been trying to contact so i'm going to start volunteering this weekend. i don't think he actually wants me, but he feels obligated because he's my uncle's girlfriend's step father . . .
wow. that was all very long.
