happy friday!

good morning ladies! so, i was tired and grumpy when i woke up at 6:20 this morning, but i guess i'm finally awake now because i'm in the best mood! i got into work pretty early so i'm going to try to leave around 4:30. i love the thought of leaving early :) and i'm just so excited about spending a whole weekend in the city. i'm hanging out with julia tomorrow. we're making brownies, we're going to the library, and we're making a thank-you card for our hosts last weekend and a get-well card for the woman who hurt her ankle. i'm excited about going to the library - i've never been in nyc. we're both going to get library cards, and then i want to check-out "little house on the prairie" so we can read it together. since we stayed in a log cabin last weekend, i was telling her how people used to live in log cabins without running water or electricity or telephones or tvs, and she didn't believe me. i remember i read the "little house" books when i was in 3rd grade, too, and i LOVED them (because i'm a big dork), so hopefully she'll enjoy it.

you know what's weird - i don't remember a lot of things from when i was in 2nd grade, but i clearly remember the saturday afternoon my father took my brother and me to the library to get library cards for the first time. i guess it must have made quite an impact on a nerdy 2nd-grader. dorky, huh? anyways, i'm excited about the stuff julia and i are doing tomorrow. and then sunday anusha and i are going to laze around the apt and watch movies. doesn't that sound lovely?
