i want a dog!

the poor thing. you definitely never see stray dogs around here.

anyway, everything's ok here. my parents are in colombia right now - my mom joined my dad about 2 weeks ago - so i'm a little worried about my brother and the house because of the tropical storm that's heading towards south florida. my brother just doesn't like to worry himself with things like putting up shutters and buying food and water and things like that. i keep calling him and he says he has everything under control, so we'll see. other than that, i really don't have anything going on right now. with my parents being in colombia, i feel a little lonely because i can't just pick up the phone whenever i want to talk to them. they're at our farm right now in the middle of the mountains. the good thing is that they installed a phone out there a couple of years ago, so i can still call them. and it's actually fun talking to them because they have no idea what's going on in the outside world, so i get to update them on what's going on in the world. of course, my dad only really cares about how the USA and d-wade are doing in the world basketball championships. and my mom keeps giving me lists of things i need to get my brother to take care of at home. . .

i have no plans for labor day, which kind of sucks. jackie's cousin's family is going to the poconos this weekend, so i guess we can go with him. it won't be crazy partying fun, but it'll be relaxing, which is nice.
