weekend update

i was in louisiana this weekend for edgar's cousin's wedding. it was . . . interesting. it was really nice because elie asked me for help with random set up stuff - so i felt very useful and not like an intruder on a private affair. her new wife is this super sweet crazy woman who has NO alcohol tolerance so between half a glass of rum and coke and already being a kind of over the top person - she seems like a happy drunk all weekend. the rest of the friends that were over were alright in an individual sense, but once they all got together and started drinking, i felt a little like it was going to degrade into one big wedding night orgy any second. esther was there with her new twins - who i got to hold and play with. edgar and i went out to new orleans/french quarters saturday night - apparently, i never want to go to mardi gras again. bourbon was not nearily as packed as right before fat tuesday, but it was still deafeningly loud, smelly, and full of passed out bodies and girls wearing practically nothing. we had beignets at cafe du monde - which was all i really wanted to do in new orleans - so i was happy :)

nush - you actually called during the wedding :) i thought before the wedding oh, should i turn off me phone? do i really need to - the only people who ever call me are my mom - who knows i'm at a wedding - and edgar - who is sitting next to me. good thing i did anyway :) did you have fun in boston?
