i can't believe i didn't call you yesterday for your birthday :(. no, i didn't forget. i was meaning to call all afternoon, but i was being a little lazy and anti-social all day and kept telling myself that i'd call you a little later. then i met up with anusha around 6 and we hung out all night. she told me that edgar was making you dinner that night, so then i didn't want to call to interrupt your dinner. so i didn't call and i know my excuses are horrible, but i swear that i was thinking of you and didn't forget that it was your birthday! and now i'm just going to have to send you something fabulous to make up for not calling :)

koo's birthday is in may. may 2nd, i believe. i'll try to remember to remind you when the time comes. but anyway, it sounds like you had a nice birthday weekend. i can't remember the last time i got to celebrate my birthday with my parents. they're in some tiny village in the mountains somewhere in colombia, and they're loving life.

rupa went back to India saturday night. i know she was ready to go back 'home', but i'm sad she's gone. it was nice having her around, even though she was running around in a million directions the whole time.
